Forced Sex and HIV Risk
This series of workshops addresses the issue of non-consensual sex using a variety of scenarios: being sexually attacked by someone you don't know while in a friend's home (stranger rape), being attacked on the street (stranger rape), being attacked by someone you know (date rape), and being attacked while engaged in sex work (stranger rape). The purpose of these scenarios is to raise awareness about rape and sexual assault and provide advice about how to reduce one's risk of being assaulted. It also offers suggestions about ways of reducing one's risk of HIV infection by offering tips about how one might "negotiate" with an attacker. Information about sources of support if one is sexually assaulted is also provided.

The Art of Retaining Clients
(for Service Providers Only)
This workshop provides a hands-on approach to retaining hard-to-reach clients over time. Our approach is based on the experience and success we have had with high risk participants recruited in the Bronx. (Our rates have consistently been over 90% after one year and 87% after two years of follow-up.) This workshop will provide specific tools to use such as our 6-page locator form and information on how to check if participants are incarcerated or in the homeless shelter system.
